Low Thermal Shorting Plugs for Keysight 34401A and 3458A Digital Multimeters -

We have low thermal shorting plugs for HP Agilent Keysight 34401A and 3458A DMM's. Part number 29034401-SHORT is designed to fit the 34401A, but will fit any multimeter that has a terminal spacing of 0.750 inch x 0.750 inch (19.05 mm x 19.05 mm) such a Keithley 2000, 2001,or 2002. Part number 2903458-SHORT is designed to fit 3458A, but will fit any multimeter with terminal spacing 0.750 inch x 0.875 inch (19.05 mm x 22.23 mm) such as the HP3456A DVM. All components are gold plated for low thermal EMF.

LCR Meter Test Fixture Adapters -

We offer a line of 5-terminal (4-BNC) to 3-terminal (2-BNC) and 4-BNC to banana jack adapters for LCR meters with standard 22 mm (0.866 inch) connector spacing. These adapters are compatible with LCR meters such as Keysight or Agilent E4980A, E4980AL, E4981A Capacitance Meter, IET GenRad 1693 Precision LCR Meter, or Rohde & Schwarz LCX100 LCR Meter.

The 4-BNC to 2-BNC LCR meter test fixture adapter (P/N 2901600-100) is intended to be used with our calibration capacitor standards for our Model 3000 Capacitance Meter, but can be used to measure any 2-BNC capacitor, inductor, or resistor standard.

The 4-BNC to banana jack test fixture adapter (P/N 2901600-200) is designed to measure IET GenRad 1409-series standard capacitors using a direct connection to the LCR meter through the adapter. This eliminated long cables and errors do to stray capacitance between cables. The 4-BNC to banana jack test fixture adapter is also supplied with clips to measure axial and radial-leaded components.

16500A Hewlett-Packard / Agilent Floppy Drive Emulator Upgrade -

We offer a floppy drive emulator upgrade (P/N 16500A-FDE) for the 16500A Logic Analyzer System. Our floppy drive emulator is a drop-in replacement for the Sony OEM MP-F52W-30 (or -20) floppy drive and is 100% compatible with the 16500A. It uses standard SD cards that are formatted and copied on a standard PC. The kit includes the floppy disk emulator, tray that fits the non-standard 16500A floppy drive cutout, and a formatted SD card with the bootable 16500A operating system image (SYSTEM_, version 6.00) and additional images with version 6.00 module software.

NOTE: We recommend replacing both front and rear OEM floppy drives with emulators if you have several modules installed and all of the SYSTEM_XXX module files will not fit on one emulator diskette image with the SYSTEM_ file. A minimum system is one OEM floppy drive in the rear and a floppy emulator in the front.

4145A Hewlett-Packard / Agilent Operating System Disks and 4145A Floppy Drive / Disk Emulator -

We have replacement operating system software disks or boot disks (OEM P/N 04145-85100) for the Hewlett-Packard 4145A Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer. Disks are 100% compatible with the 4145A, 5.25 inch floppy drive (Canon MDD6106, HP P/N 0950-0863). You will receive a standard set of 5 disks (equivalent to OEM P/N 16261A). Each disks contains the necessary operating system software (revision A5), four general purpose measurement programs, and 36.6K bytes of user area.

A floppy drive / disk emulator (P/N 4145A-FDE) for the 4145A Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer is available now. The floppy drive emulator is a "drop-in" replacement for the standard Canon/BASF floppy drive and 5.25" floppy system disks. No electrical or mechanical modifications of the 4145A are required for installation. The floppy drive emulator is 100% compatible with the 4145A and uses standard SD cards that are formatted and copied on a standard PC. The 4145A-FDE includes the floppy disk emulator, interface adapter, tray that fits the non-standard 4145A floppy drive cutout, and two formatted SD cards with the bootable 4145A operating system image.

4145B Hewlett-Packard / Agilent Operating System Disks and 4145B Floppy Drive / Disk Emulator -

We have replacement operating system software disks or boot disks (OEM P/N 04145-61501 DISC KIT) for the Hewlett-Packard 4145B Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer. Disks are 100% compatible with the 4145B, 3.5 inch floppy drive (Sony MP-F52W-20 or MP-F52W-30, HP P/N 0950-1752). You will receive two system disks equivalent to OEM P/N 04145-61501. Each disks contains the necessary operating system software (Revision 1.2). We also have a limited number of SONY MP-F52W-30 or -20 OEM replacement floppy drives available. NOTE: The -20 and -30 drives are electrically equivalent. The color of the bezel may be different. ,

HP / Agilent 35665A Options Upgrade -

We offer an EEPROM programming service to activate the various options in the now obsolete and unsupported HP / Agilent 35665A Dynamic Signal Analyzer. The available programmable options for the 35665A include: 1D0, 1D1, 1D2, 1D3, 1D4, and 1C2 and are described as follows.

Programmable options enabled by EEPROM upgrade:
1D0 Computed Order Tracking (also requires hardware option 1C1 or ANA)
1D1 Real-time Octave Measurements
1D2 Swept-Sine Measurements
1D3 Curve Fit and Synthesis
1D4 Arbitrary Waveform Source
1C2 HP Instrument BASIC

Hardware options not enabled by EEPROM upgrade:
1C1 Adds 2 MByte Memory, requires memory board upgrade OEM P/N 35665-66586
ANA Adds 6 MByte Memory, requires memory board upgrade OEM P/N 35665-66587

We provide a new EEPROM (24C01) programmed with your instrument's serial number and all available programmable options are activated. The 24C01 replaces the obsolete 85C72 EPROM.

Installation:
The EEPROM is usually in a 8-pin socket and easy to replace. However, we recommend an experience electronics technician undertake this task, since some disassemble of the instrument is required to gain access to the EEPROM socket and proper ESD procedures must be followed to avoid damaging the instrument. At the same time we also recommend replacement of the nonvolatile memory backup battery (B200). The backup battery will require some de-soldering and soldering. Pictures of the disassemble and replacement are posted here. NOTE: On some CPU boards the EEPROM socket may be located in front of the blue ribbon socket. The "HP 35665A Memory Upgrade Installation Procedure" document (part number 35665-90060) describes the step-by-step procedure including tools for disassemble of the 35665A to gain access to the memory and cpu boards.

Part Number 35665A-02 includes a pre-programmed 24C01 EEPROM (and one spare) with all available programmable options and serial number. NOTE: When placing order, we will need the serial number of the instrument(s) being upgraded.

If you are replacing the backup battery, we recommend a 3.6V AA size Tadiran battery, part number TL-5104/P or TL-5104/PBP. They are available from Digikey and Mouser in USA. Tadiran part number SL-360/P should also be a good alternative to the OEM battery and are available from RS Components.

HP / Agilent 35665A and 35670A Floppy Drive Emulator Kits -

We offer a floppy drive emulator upgrade for the HP 35665A and 35670A Dynamic Signal Analyzers that supports both DOS and LIF (Logical Interchange Format) disk formats. Our emulator is a drop-in replacement for the 35665A OEM Epson SMD-300 floppy drive or for the 35670A OEM TEAC FD-235HF C958-U5 floppy drive. The emulator uses SD cards for storage. Each floppy disk emulator kit is supplied with preloaded SD cards for DOS and LIF files and one SD Card with the 35665A Auto Performance Rev. A00.02 program or 35670A Semi-Automated Test Rev. A.00.03 program. Additional SD cards are made by formatting (FAT) and copying the preloaded emulator files and emulator configuration file on any PC with a SD card slot or a USB to SD card adapter. You read, write, and format just as you would using real floppy drive and diskette, and one SD card can support almost unlimited number of floppy diskette images.

Installation (35665A):
Installation requires removal of CPU board and takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. We recommend an experience electronics technician undertake the installation task, since some disassemble of the instrument is required to gain access to the OEM floppy drive and proper ESD procedures must be followed to avoid damaging the CPU and memory boards. Pictures of the disassemble and replacement are posted here . To gain access to the CPU board, first remove the case, back panel, and set aside the power supply module. Next, remove the ribbon cables to the memory; and using the pull ring, remove the memory board and set aside (see MemoryBoard.jpg ). To remove the CPU board, remove 2 screws on the bottom of the chassis, then the 6 screws on the CPU board and ribbon cables as shown here. Set the CPU board on an ESD safe surface and remove the OEM floppy drive(see CPU_BoardFloppyMountingScrews.jpg ). Mount the emulator using the existing 35665A hardware (1) insert new ribbon cable (2 ), and follow the reverse of the disassemble procedure from this point.

Prices are in US dollars and do not include shipping cost. Shipments to California addresses are subject to 7.75% sales tax unless you provide us with a current CA resale permit number.

For domestic orders, shipping cost varies from $11.00 to $22.00 for Priority Mail (flat rate boxes) with delivery confirmation. For international orders or other shippers (FedEx or UPS), please email us for shipping cost.

Note:  International orders may incur additional charges for customs forms and are delivered duties unpaid (DDU).

Payment:  For US and Canadian customers, we accept checks drawn on a US bank, money orders, company purchase orders, and PayPal. We only accept PayPal for all other international orders.
